Yes or No

Yes or No? If we don't do this then we will not have our guests "do" anything when we exit the church.

This is for real now. I'll be ordering the ribbon tonight if we're going to go ahead with it.

What do you think? Me likey, but I don't want it to be too cheesy. That's why I need your input.
See previous post here for why these ribbon wavers are our only option.

  1. Those other brides are HOT, not cheesy. Your stark white dress will look pretty against all of that purple ribbon.

  2. I think they are pretty.

I did see a site that had eco-friendly confetti. Meaning, it dissolved into the ground after the event. Unfortunately, I couldn't even begin to tell you where I saw it.

  3. I vote YES! Do it. They even look pretty when not in use. See pretty instructions here:

  4. Absolutely do them! If for no other reason than guests are generally accustomed to some type of 'activity' as the couple exits the church, so they will love it!

  5. Go for it. It's just another great chance to work your colors in.

  6. I love them! They're funny, classy, and light-hearted. Plus, if you're inviting kids, they'll be entertained for a while!

  7. IF you have the time (and aren't already stressed to the max) I say YES. I think they are fun and make great photos. HOWEVER! If you are already stretched thing on time and patience, don't worry about it. I think people standing and clapping won't be awkward or empty. They will be cheering and sharing their love. Thats why you have them there after all. :-)

  10. I knew I had seen biodegradeable confetti mentioned somewhere like prep-e girl said and found this
http://www.marthastewart.com/good-things/vanishing-confetti?lnc=48b8f5e0627ee010VgnVCM1000003d370a0aRCRD&rsc=taxonomylist_weddings_good-things-weddings but unfortunatley it doesn't mention where you can get it.

I agree with michelle that if you aren't already too stressed and it would be fun for you to add them, then do it, if not, no one will miss them.

Also, I think longer is better on them. Just personal opinion.

Okay, I need to step away from the computer and go make some decisions of my own about how to get this soon-to-be wedding off the ground! Have a good night! Kelly

  11. I'm also voting YES. On the knot.com they get a bad rap being used by young brides, but honestly, they will look awesome in the photos. And if it's your ONLY option, and you want a grand exit from the church, this is def. pretty in photos.
