I wanted a vintage themed wedding, and we are using old pictures from family weddings & having each couple represent a table, etc. But, for the Save the Date - I kept thinking of this Elvis song... so, we ended up using a picture of Elvis & Priscilla - and put down the chorus lyrics next to them, and then - using different fonts, we made it look like a concert flyer - like we put "ONE NIGHT ONLY" in font looking like label makers, and plastered it across the picture... I don't know if you can really picture it - but, our guests LOVED it! Tying to music is a fantastic idea - and even more importantly, find a way to tie it into the rest of your theme for the whole wedding, etc. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6829537924360174546.post-42616198275463353502008-04-24T17:09:00.000-04:002008-04-24T17:09:00.000-04:00i think the color and the design from your logo is...i think the color and the design from your logo is a good "theme"A Windy City Weddinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02673508030158046001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6829537924360174546.post-2976193534223531012008-04-24T16:43:00.000-04:002008-04-24T16:43:00.000-04:00Of course I was kidding. I think the lyrics is a fun idea but at the same time of the last 3 weddings I went to, all three of them featured Rascal Flats love songs. One actually took different lines for each table and the card table. It was cute but I think RF love songs are over done at weddings. If you chose to do it though, I suppose I support you since there is some significance to RF between you and the future hubby :)Candicelynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02048639382568761653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6829537924360174546.post-73885367233288693152008-04-23T13:16:00.000-04:002008-04-23T13:16:00.000-04:00I'm with you...I totally wanted a theme too...and ...I'm with you...I totally wanted a theme too...and we've decided on Better Together. That Jack Johnson song means a lot to us and seems perfect.

I think that you should definitely use a Rascal Flatts lyric as your theme...seeing as that is something important to you. I really like the line "In your eyes I see forever" and just leave it at that...you don't need to complete the line...it's beautfiul just as is. :)Jennihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01668353994436058437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6829537924360174546.post-27036106565804459542008-04-23T11:35:00.000-04:002008-04-23T11:35:00.000-04:00I like ayn7's idea. I think using a color as your "theme" (which is seems you are) is the best way to tie everything together. It is almost like that song "At Last" that makes me wince a little when people in their twenties use it as their first dance.

Having said that I love RF and the "My Wish" song is really lovely.

Your monogram makes me think of "royal", "opulent", "ornate." If your wedding is going to be formal and in a fancy hotel you could make that your theme and go with it with ornate candelabras, candelight and lots of bling.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6829537924360174546.post-4064176897771115142008-04-23T00:23:00.000-04:002008-04-23T00:23:00.000-04:00OMG, what about the song "My Wish"? I love that RF song, and pretty much every other line is quotable.

"Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold..."

I'm not sure if that works with the monogram. To me the monogram seems like it would work with ivy, Queen Anne's lace, and possibly late season harvest (since the harvest moon is in Sept): heirloom tomatoes or blueberries.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6829537924360174546.post-16164159251341921602008-04-23T00:18:00.000-04:002008-04-23T00:18:00.000-04:00I like the first lyric!
