You start to compulsively check weather.com ... like it's your job.
Our 10 day forecast came up yesterday. At first it showed showers for our wedding day. I didn't mind so much, since those forecasts are generally not accurate this far out. Earlier this morning the little sum symbol was displayed and my heart did a little pitter patter. Now we're back to a 60 % chance of showers.
All I'm asking for is a a partly cloudy-sunny day on our wedding day from 11am-6pm. Is that so much to ask!?
Just attempting to get a picture like this...
Cross your fingers, friends!

i love that light!
ReplyDeleteMy fingers are crossed for you! That's a gorgeous image. And I hope that you'll get one of your very own on your wedding day : )
ReplyDeleteI actually just checked mine for the first time this morning and I am getting "few showers". I hope not!!! The wedding ceremony is supposed to be outside!
ReplyDeleteI'll think happy thoughts for your weather if you think them for mine!

My fingers are crossed for you!
ReplyDeleteJust to help you feel a little better about how quickly the reports can change... our weather reports were for 70's and partly sunny, then 2 days before they predicted thunderstorms (I am not ashamed to admit that my heart sank a little), and we ended up with 80's and sunny... so stalk away and just keep saying little prayers for blue skies!!
:)
I've never commented before, but I am an avid reader. LOVE your blog! It gave me so much inspiration for my wedding.
ReplyDeleteDo yourself a HUGE favor and limit the checking to a minimum- it will DRIVE you insane! It did me- it literally changed every hour... And be thankful there are no storms brewing.
My mom saved my sanity when she reminded me that there would also be an opportunity for a reshoot after the wedding for outdoor pictures. We are booked for ours 2 weeks from now...thanks to Fay! And the sunny side...I get to wear my dress again!!!
And remember- no matter the weather, it will still be everything you dreamed it would be...and you will be married rain or shine!
I hope the weather turns out great for you, but just in case - here are some fun shots that you can only get in less than great weather.

I hope you have nothing but sunny blue skies for your wedding! We just got married and a tropical storm moved our wedding inside, but it was perfect :)
ReplyDeleteHere is my thought, quit checking the weather. Don't even look at it until about 3 days out. And even then, don't panic because:
ReplyDelete1. Weather people are ALWAYS wrong
2. Midwest weather changes hourly.
You'll have a beautiful day!
weather.com says the Pacific Northwest will have showers on the 27th too! I'm hoping and praying for partly cloudy/sunny, for here and where you are! Check out accuweather.com there are no rain drops on the 10-day forecast for the NW. Maybe it will be better for you too! ;o) Here's hoping!
ReplyDeleteMy friend sent me a photo from a wedding she was in and it made me think of you! But - I don't know how to attach it to this! *Laugh*
ReplyDeleteHope you're freaking out less than me!
