Over the past month or two I haven’t obsessed AS much over the music that will be played at the reception as I have over the reception table centerpieces, escort cards, and the venue of the actual reception. However, I do know that the music has to be a-mazing enough to keep the dance floor packed all night. photo by: Jessica Claire via Knottie Mrs. Hoya
Thus, the music has to apply to 20-somethings and 50-somethings.
Here’s a list of songs that I am throwing around and believing that EVERYONE can put up with and dance to:
- Brickhouse - Commodores
- Come on Eileen - Dexy’s Midnight Runners
- Friends in Low Places - Garth Brooks
- I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing - Aerosmith
- I Love Rock and Roll - Joan Jett
- Jack and Diane - John Mellencamp
- Lets Get it On - Marvin Gaye
- Livin' On A Prayer - Bon Jovi
- Pour Some Sugar On Me - Def Leppard
- Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy) - Big & Rich
- Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd
- You Shook Me All Night Long - AC/DC
- I Want You to Want Me - Cheap Trick
- Summer Of '69 - Bryan Adams
- Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond
Any recommendations?!

Are you going with a band or a DJ? A DJ will give you more of the different styles of music, but a good band always gets people out of their seats!!
My fav dance song is September by Earth Wind & Fire. I'm dancing right NOW! :)
